Nothing at all

Today was my day off, so I did exactly what the title says, nothing. I slept till around 11:30am today, got up, showered, surfed the internet for a while, ordered some food, got back online, and am now getting ready to go to bed.

I lead a boring existence

I really do, this is my schedule on any given day of the week:

5am: wake up

5:15am: wake up again as second alarm goes off

5:20am: get in shower, bruish teeth, shave

5:40am: get dressed, grab a quick breakfast

6am: leave for work

7am: arrive at work

7am - 5pm: work

5pm: punch out, leave for home

5:30pm: stop at Sheetz for a sandwich

6:15pm: arrive home

6:30pm: take a shower(yes, again)

7pm - 8pm: talk to family and relax

8pm: get online

8pm - 11pm: surf the internet

11pm: go to bed

I repeat this schedule 5 days a week, if it weren't for the weekends I would've already went insane.

Uhhhh

Today was uhhh.................. fun? Ok, so my day started off crappy when my buddy called me and said he wasn't coming to Hershey today, so I said ok, well, there are still going to be quite a few people there from the ranger club today, so I'll still go, imagine my reaction when only six people showed up today, SIX!!!! Now, let me help you understand, if I had only been expecting eight or maybe even ten people to show up, just six showing up wouldn't have been a big deal, BUT, fifty-four people signed up to come today, and six actually came, ehhhhh, whatever, this was the last get together I am going to be able to go to in my Ford Ranger since I'm trading it in soon on............... well, I still have to decide what I'm buying next, so I'll keep ya'll informed.

Helping out

Ok, so I was scheduled to have today - Sunday off, but instead I'm going down tomorrow to help out a manager that's getting an audit next week, should be a busy day.

Then Saturday I'm going to a meet in Hershey with the Ford Ranger club I belong to.

Then Sunday I'm gonna spend time with family and relax some. Next week is gonna be really freaking busy, oh well, nothing new there I guess.

Just waiting

Ok, so I posted a few days ago about getting promoted, and it's in the works, however I forgot just how long it takes Hess to actually promote someone once the process has started. So sometime in the next couple weeks it will be official. On a side note, I'm going to be enrolling in college for the fall semester, just trying to figure out exactly what I want to major in.

What I've been up to

Ok, I realize it's been a while since I made a post about what's going on with me, and basically, that's because I've been super busy lately, I know, I know, you're shocked. Anyway, I've been working 5 - 6 days a week, I've been working at a minimum of 2 - 3 different stores a week, one of which is a little over 150 miles round trip, so yeah, I haven't had much free time lately, good news is this though, I'm for sure becoming the assistant manager of one of these stores next week, with a decent raise coming my way, and quite possibly will be getting promoted to store manager in a few weeks, which will mean a pretty hefty raise, but, that also means it will be time to move, cause I'm not driving 150 miles a day, no matter what Hess pays me.

The Entertainment Meme

I was tagged by Mark from Idle Ramblings Of A Slightly Mad Man for this meme and basically the rule is that I have to write a short little something about books, television and music. I think I can do that.

Books - When I find a book that can captivate me enough to read it from cover to cover, I love reading, but the majority of new books out there aren't worth my time, so when I'm not re-reading an old favorite I just read one of my 13 monthly magazines that I subscribe to.

Television - If I'm trying to pass some time I'll watch it, but I spend most of my free time online lately, not that I have alot of free time anymore, ahh well, that's an issue for another blog post. :)

Music - I listen to it while I'm in the car on a trip or on my way to or from work, I don't really have a favorite genre though, basically whatever's on the radio is what I listen to.

Not much

Soooo, I haven't had much going on lately, other than working, and being sick. I talked to my district manager today and it looks like I'm going to be getting promoted to assistant manager in the next week or two, then we're going to start talking about me getting my own store in the next few months, so overall, I'm happy, especially considering that I'm going to have to put off going to UTI for quite a while due to my back and leg problems. So I'm going to make the best of what I have.
